Erin starts EAARO's new junior team

I joined EAARO because I love all things space and science. My first experience here was when I came to see the Quadrantids meteor shower, and got to see a working radio observatory exploring several different techniques to gather data from meteor observations. This was really exciting because as I am only twelve I had never seen such high tech computers; all of this really spurred my interest in this field of learning. After this experience I wanted to come back and see how much more I could learn. Turns out there’s a lot. Now I regularly volunteer at the control suite taking part in valuable data gathering research.
Jason’s enthusiasm for future projects and STEM in general is truly infectious which is why I am looking forward to the upcoming year of projects which include: EAARO-MINE (mini neutrino experiment) and EAARO-SID (Sudden Ionospheric Disturbance Detector).
if you believe this to be something you would enjoy please consider becoming a junior volunteer with me as we would like to inspire as many of you as possible to pursue STEM careers no matter your age.
Even if science isn’t your thing there are still lots of engineering and technology opportunities at EAARO.
If you are interested in joining Erin's team please contact us: volunteer@eaaro.org.uk
